Whether we realize it or not, we are experiencing change and, although change can bring about ambiguity as we figure out our path, it can also be a very exciting time in our lives.

You might be:

* starting a new job,
* taking on a new role or responsibilities,
* experiencing a merger,
* seeking a promotion, or
* welcoming a new CEO.

In fact, you might be the new CEO.

Over my more than 25 years working in leadership and professional development, I have found that these times of transition are some of the most exciting and transformational experiences we can have in our careers, and how we might respond to these big changes is a choice that we make. Through personal experience as well as working with a variety of leaders, I have learned that having a guide to talk through what we are experiencing, whether it is a change or another leadership challenge, and identifying the actions we might take that are most useful can be invaluable and are necessary to achieving the outcomes we desire.

As an executive leadership coach, I strive to balance an empathetic and supportive style with a commitment to action that leads to learning and transformation. Every session comes with steps that can be taken to help leaders see something differently, do something differently, or achieve different results. The goal is to help leaders get where they want to go in a way that makes the most sense for them.

Leadership is not an intellectual thing. It is about learning and taking action. At times, it is about being courageous, as we get more curious and become more open. Leadership is also about being in relationship with others and asking how we might work together to achieve something better than we could on our own. Leadership gives us the opportunity to collaborate and be in community as we unite diverse voices, perspectives, and disciplines. When we engage leadership in these ways, we become a part of something bigger - a common mission, a collective benefit.
